Ashley Denay is a multi-faceted performer with a wealth of experience in singing, dancing, acting, vocal coaching and classroom instruction.— she has dedicated her career on the stage to community engagement and education.


Denay is a Maryland native that studied Vocal Performance and Sociology at Morgan State University. Throughout her studies, she traveled with the Morgan State University Choir and performed as part of the Morganettes Dance team ensemble. 

Embarking on a professional career amidst her academic growth, Ashley has shared her artistry with appreciative audiences across the country from Seattle to Baltimore and on the MGM Grand Stage in musical theater, barbershop and big bands.

HALO INC

A member of HALO Incorporated, singing bass with HALO Quartet, amplifying the Black musical heritage of barbershop to fuel fruitful dialogue and activism for racial justice. Ashley is a former member of Sweet Adelines, an a capella organization for women. Earning Gold and Silver medal titles in the Region 19 Sweet Adelines Quartet Contest and placed 16th in the world in the International Sweet Adelines Quartet Contest with Neon Lights.

Ashley Denay has been a dedicated judge for the NAACP ACT-SO Competition in Montgomery County, Maryland, a Music Adjudicator for the Baltimore County Solo & Ensemble Adjudication, and directed the 2022 Baltimore County All-County Jazz Choir.

 

When Ashley isn’t teaching, giving back or playing with Josh Christina, and Samantha's Duo. She enjoys spending time with her family & friends. 

 

Ashley Denay is a shining example of a thriving performance career with her committed and encouraging guidance to students has made her a treasure for audiences and young stars in the making.
